Australia touts green products
Australian firms at Big 5 display their expertise in water recycling and heat reflection technology.
Touting years of experience with building sustainable properties and outdoor spaces in hot and arid environments, this year's contingent of Australian exhibitors in Hall 8 have much to offer the Middle East, according to graeme Wright, environmental water management consultant at WiSA Australia.
WISA are in the process of signing a number of O/S contracts for the building industry for Roof Gardens, Road scapes and Water parks.
Traditionally most of our sales have been in agriculture now we are seeing a positive trend towards our equipment in roof scapes, landscapes and streetscapes.
The key factors which have contributed to the WiSA Export success in business.
Moisture control quality for green roof top gardens building landscapes and road scapes.
The WiSA irrigation management system captures soil moisture monitoring, sensors and weather data to enable precise control of water and nutrient applications.
A WiSA system effectively improves plant health and horticultural practices by ensuring the right amount of water and nutrients are applied at the right time.
A WiSA system means no water logging or unnecessary stress due to lack of water, thereby increasing the quality of plant on roof top gardens, building landscaping and road scapes.
WiSA irrigation solutions signed a world wide distributorship deal with Burdens. Burdens is the largest supplier of civil materials to the market in the UK, with offices in Australia, USA and Dubai. There portfolio consist of specialist plumbing, electrical, civil and environmental products. They have contracts with Thames Water, Scotland water, United Utilities just to name a few.
WiSA saw a key partnership with Burdens as they are the major suppliers to Lang O Rourke, Multi plex, GHD, City Scape and most of the majors in UK and Middle east. Since our agreement we have been playing a vital role to supplying projects worldwide.
Concentrating on the Middle Eastern Area's we have currently been supplying products to many markets and at present working on a project to control an entire city's infrastructure.
Projects so far are the environmental control of infrastructure for a water theme park, which includes monitoring Desalination plant, flow, pressures, irrigating landscape and incorporating security network into the WiSA system. Potential use for recycled water for the purpose's of irrigating a 8.5km highway and potential maintenance monitoring of pressure and flow rate's in an apartment hotel.
As the year has progressed we have seen an increase of small projects in the area and also the request for environmental solutions on very large scales. At this point in time we still believe we have the best solution to any monitoring capabilities.
Products and Services adapted for the export market
Accurate data in real time.
A WiSA System uses a dedicated PC as a central control system, which can be remotely "connected" to via the telephone and/or internet connection. This ensures optimum data retrieval and utilisation of the equipment. Accurate data is collected in real time - no delays, no guesswork, no mistakes - so you can act on the information received in the present moment.
Perhaps soil moisture conditions indicate a change in water flow is needed.
Maybe weather sensors indicate frost protection must be activated.
Or perhaps you'd like to change start and stop times to make the most of a particular rain event.
Managing all these scenarios and every variation in between is possible with a WiSA system.
You can even be away on holidays and manage your irrigation program from anywhere in the world.
Manage finite resources more effectively.
The effective and responsible use of water is an issue for, communities and governments right around the world, where limited water resources must be used as wisely as possible.
WiSA are committed to the future of roof gardens, landscapes and streetscapes and have developed technologies that support communities, industries and government in their quest for water efficiently and profitable use of their water resource.
A WiSA system provides extensive and accurate weather, soil and plant information so the customer can pinpoint exactly when to water and how much, thereby eliminating the risk of over-watering. This approach can save significant amounts of water and money.
WiSA has diversified into all facets of refined water application and has our system management operating to suit Climate Changes anywhere in the world.
WiSA are committed to the sustainable future of irrigation and have developed technologies that support the effective and responsible use of water for industry, communities and governments around the world.
Software is Aqualink and GroGraph.
Aqualink is the complete control and communications package software and is user friendly. GroGraph is the data, graphing and information storage. All information of when valves, pump, fertigation etc. were open or closed are time date stamped, and all information data is printable and is automatically archived. This software has won high Awards for it’s operation and results in the Irrigation, construction and the building industry.
Control Module 8
The control Module will operate 8 outputs which could be valves, lights, heaters, coolers, pumps, fertigation and anything that needs to be turned on or off as required. This module will run AC voltages continuous mode for valves or pump relays, DC voltage in latching mode for latching valves or relays or timed DC mode for the operation of DC motors for opening or closing bay doors, gates etc.
To this module we have SDI 12 for sensor input as standard and will receive data input from any SDI 12 Sensor – such as Sentek Enviroscan Soil moisture, Weather etc. This is ahead of it time.
Hybrid 4/4
Input output module will receive data from a range of sensors, analogue, digital, SDI 12 and monibus this just means that it will read almost any sensor on these formats, Soil Moisture, Weather station sensors, pressure, flow, temperature etc. and control 4 valves or 3 valves and 1 pump or any operation as required. Sentek, Aquaflex, Echo, Gropoint soil moisture probes can be read by this module.
Radio Power Head
This module contains the battery, solar panel, radio transceiver and antenna all mounted and complete. It is ready to connect into the required module, Control or Hybrid 4/4 or combination of units.
Base Station and PC interface
The PC interface module connected to your PC and the base radio is outside above your roof line and close to line of site of all other units. Base radio is connected to the Interface with a 4 core cable that supplies power and communications to the PC.
Use of flexible power
The flexible nature of design means that we can use solar power and battery or mains power to energize our system. This can save money if solar panels are not required etc. or if your existing system has 24 volt AC. It is simple for us to use either method.
With the use of remote control software, such as VNC or even Windows XP Professional's remote desktop, you can connect to your property from anywhere in the world, check the soil moisture/weather conditions and then alter scheduled irrigation events if required.
Basically operate your management system as if you where still on the property and in front of your computer.
VNC allows WiSA to connect via the internet enabling data access with our customers around the world in a secure environment.
With interchangeable radio frequencies adaptable to different countries.
WiSA is distributor driven, able to train distributors for ongoing support for systems in their own country enabling a wider broader coverage.
WiSA will undertake the training of the O/S local people to adapt to our products.
